The Apple Rose is renowned for its huge red rose hips that smell lightly of apples when crushed! Hardy to USDA Zone 5, Apple Roses thrive equally well in full sun and partial shade, producing sweet single pink flowers with a light fragrance. Rosa pomifera forms a stately, tall shrub, reaching 6 to 7 feet in height and width and its large, gray-green leaves are outstanding in spring.
