Honeycrisp is one of our most winter-hardy apple trees, showing little damage even at -40°F! Honeycrisp does display low vigor, a tendency toward biennial bearing, some heat intolerance, and can be a little challenging, especially for new growers. If you have had good luck with apples in the past, it’s time to try Honeycrisp!
