Prunus domestica subsp. syriaca ‘Geneva Mirabelle’
This dainty yellow plum blushed with garnet and speckled with ruby stars is a chunkier American cousin to the famous French queen of plums! Incredibly productive and full of sugary flavor, this freestone fruit is filled with rich, fragrant, luscious, golden meat. Great for tarts, compotes, canning or making wine. Formerly known as Mirabelle 858; from Cornell University in Geneva, N.Y.
The tree habit is upright and spreading. Regularly and vigorously productive. Tends to be a shy pollen producer.
