Pyrus communis ‘Duchesse d’Angouleme’
A russetted French heritage pear from 1815, prized for its extraordinary large size fruit and rich, juicy flavor. When well grown, the Duchesse D’Angouleme pear’s flesh is white, buttery and fine with a rich, delicious flavor.
Features some fireblight resistance. Bears reliably and begins producing fruit at a young age. It blooms with Conference (early) and ripens in October (late). An upright, vigorous, hardy tree.
